MOTOCROSS AMERICA by Bill Amick

Bill Amick produced the greatest book ever written about the history of motocross. It covers the start of the sport in Europe and later in America starting in 1966 when promoter Edison Dye invited then World 250cc Champion Torsten Hallman (founder of THOR) to race in the View Finders GP in California, a race featured in prime time TV on ABC's Wide World of Sports.

Ed Youngblood is the curator of the AMA Museum & motocross exposition, a traveling show that will be headquartered in Las Vegas in 2007. A review of this book was featured in RacerX with an article written by Jeff Emig and a 1-hour television special on the Speed channel.

This elegant hardcover book is the most comprehensive history of the riders and their motorcycles. Besides serving as a chronology for the sport and the vibrant personalities of the racers, it has the best collection of restored motorcycles dating from the 1950s to present day. This is the kind of book that every motocross enthusiast needs in their collection of memorabilia, and the older it gets, the better the memories that it brings forth. This book is a limited edition and will most likely go up in value over time.
